Characteristics of the accordion:
The accordion can be played solo or with accompaniment, and can play both beautiful single-part melodies and multi-part music. Similar to a piano, the accordion allows the player to play rich harmonies with both hands.
The accordion has a grand sound and rich timbre changes. It can play a variety of different styles of music through the ingenious combination of fingers and bellows, which is unmatched by many musical instruments.
Accordions are smaller, lighter and easier to carry. Players can easily carry the accordion on their backs and play at any time.
Compared with other musical instruments, the threshold for learning the accordion is relatively low. Beginners can play many simple pieces as long as they master some basic fingerings and techniques.
The accordion can be used for the performance of folk music and popular music, for school teaching and training, and for music lovers' pursuit and enjoyment of music
Since the accordion has so many attributes that are conducive to chamber music, it is particularly suitable for this medium of expression. In essence, the accordion has all of the prerequisites essential to small ensemble involvement: sustaining power, dynamic sensitivity, articulated response, timbre and texture variance, and compatibility of sound with string and wind instruments.
What are the advantages of accordion
The pronunciation of our accordion is accurate, clear and pure, with even volume and no noise or mute.
The bellows is tight and airtight, making it effortless to play. It can make the sound of the piano sensitive, making it easier to control the intensity of the sound when playing
The appearance of the piano is streamlined, with moderately rounded edges and corners, and the connections between all parts are firm and decent. The outer packaging of the celluloid should be brightly colored and elegant, the left and right keyboards should be straight, the keys should be flexible, and have a certain degree of elasticity and even elasticity.

What do I need to know before buying an accordion?
1. Size
When starting out, I recommend a lighter accordion. The instrument should be as comfortable to play and practice. In time, you’ll be advancing to a larger instrument and the weight won’t be an issue.
2. Price
Stay as low as possible since you’ll eventually be trading this accordion for the one you really want. Your advancement will help you justify spending more money later. Yes, some people do buy the perfect accordion first, but this occurs when they have the knowledge to make a buying decision or they rely heavily on their trusted advisor.
3. Accordion Age
This is very important! I typically do not buy/trade accordions built before 1958 (some exceptions may apply depending on the instrument), because of the condition and problems that might arise. Think twice about buying an accordion with a strong mildew smell.
4. Tuning
This is crucial for children. I have witnessed first-hand, that if the child starts playing before the age of five, that child will in most cases, develop perfect pitch 100% of the time. so make sure the accordion is tuned properly.
5. Appearance
Color, design and all other attributes are really based on personal preference.
6. Compression
Bear in mind that there will always be a little air in the chamber, but the accordion should not leak excessively.
7. Reeds
Accordions have one, two, three or four reeds. Keep in mind, the number of reeds determines the weight and increased value of the accordion. I suggest a two reed accordion to start.
8. Performance
Lastly, play the instrument and get a feel for it. You’re going to be spending a lot of time with it, and you’ll want to make sure it’s a good fit for you.
how to buy an accordion
1 Number and type of accordion basses. Choose the appropriate number of basses based on the age and height of the user. Beginners usually use 12 bass, students in grades 3 to 4 can choose 60 bass, 6th grade and above recommend 96 bass, and professional players or those interested in in-depth learning can choose 120 bass.
2 Accordion keyboard size. For beginners, there are 32-bass, 48-bass, 60-bass, 96-bass, and 120-bass models to choose from.
3 Each has their own unique sounds and features, the piano is more popular with jazz, rock, country and a variety of other music. The chromatic is similar but unique to certain cultures–just depends on your style, and the concertina is somewhat limited–but might be easier, because music can be played with numbers. It’s all about the skill and imagination.
4 The appearance and structure of the piano. Check the appearance of the accordion, including top, back, keyboard, bellows, etc., to make sure there is no obvious damage or wear. Check whether the structure is stable, whether all parts are complete, and whether the air box is smooth and free of obstructions.
5 timbre and intonation. Try pulling the bellows and listen to see if the sound is beautiful, clear, pure, and free of noise. Check the intonation key by key.
6 That is suitable for children is crucial for children. It directly affects whether the child can perform 100% perfect performance. So be sure to choose the accordion well. makes and models. Understand the brand and model of the accordion. The tone and quality of our accordions are no less than those of international famous brand accordions.
HOW TO CARE FOR AN ACCORDION?
I. Your accordion should be stored vertically, resting on the bass end.
That is why there are usually four little pads or "feet" for the accordion to rest on. Most accordions have the reed valves vertical when the accordion is vertical. If the accordion is stored flat with the keyboard horizontal, half the reed valves will hang down upside down.
2.dry and ventilated:Accordions should be kept in a clean and dry place where an even temperature prevails. Never put you accordion near a radiator, hot air vent or in direct sunlight. Keep your accordion away from moisture or very damp conditions
3.dust-proof:Your accordion needs air, especially after playing. Occasionally store it out of the case and always on its feet (whether it’s in the case or not). You can protect your instrument with a dust cover or cloth to help keep debris and dirt off of the exterior.
4.Clean:Wipe down the keys and accordion body with a chamois or cotton cloth. Dust and dirt clog reeds. If reeds won't sound, take your accordion in for a professional cleaning. Light dish soap and water may be used to clean your accordion's exterior after the dust has been removed. Remember to apply any cleaner to a soft cotton cloth, never directly on the accordion. Try an inconspicuous area first to see if a cleaning product is safe to use.
5.avoid scratches:The back of the bellows often gets torn and scratched from belts, zippers, or buttons. Protect the bellows by having a back pad installed and avoid wearing pins or brooches. It's best not to wear a watch on your left hand when playing to prevent scratches on the bass panel and bass strap. The shoulder strap buckles can also cause scratches, so be careful when taking your accordion in and out of its case.
6.fasten:Make sure to tighten any loose screws when possible, as they can cause leaks or even fall out. Notes that sound on their own may be due to bent key pads or buttons. Have any adjustments or alignments performed by your local accordion shop.
7.Calibration:Frequently played accordions in good condition will usually need tuning every three to five years. If yours goes out of tune more often, there could be underlining problems such as dry reed wax. This is often the case if you hear rattling or buzzing when playing a note. Never play the accordion if something is loose inside. Have these issues looked at by a professional before they get worse.
8.Care:If you play in a band or ensemble, you might get more out of your accordion with a special microphone system installed. This allows you be heard without playing so hard. Strive for expression and tone colour in your playing, not mere volume. Forceful playing puts a strain on the reeds and could even cause them to crack or break. Your accordion is strongly constructed, but like any other fine instrument it must receive careful handling. Never work a new accordion too hard for the first month or two. Get to know your instrument and it will reward you with longer service.
9.Protect:During transportation, make sure your case latches are closed properly and inspect shoulder straps for tears before playing. When shipping, pack the accordion inside its case and then inside a cardboard box. Have it inspected internally even if there appears to be little or no damage. This may prevent further problems that could occur later on. If your accordion has been in extreme temperatures, allow it to settle back to room temperature before playing (approx. 1 hour)
